Alicia Walter is a performing artist, vocalist, and composer in NYC. She has released two albums as founder and vocalist for the art pop outfit, Oshwa, and is preparing to release her debut solo album, I Am Alicia, co-produced with Devin Greenwood at The Honey Jar, in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
In 2019, Alicia performed as featured solo vocalist in the Pacific Northwest Ballet world premiere of "The Trees, The Trees," with choreography by Robyn Mineko Williams and music by Kyle Vegter, for over 22,000 patrons. She was awarded the 2020 Queens Council on the Arts New Work Grant and has received commissions from ESOPUS Magazine and percussionist Evan Chapman. Alicia was a 2019 fellow at New Amsterdam Records' 6th Composers Lab and is a regular performing vocalist with Arone Dyer's (Buke and Gase, The National) experimental choir for women, Dronechoir.
